Prescription Refills

The best way to get a refill is to have your pharmacy request it from our office, ensuring that we have the latest refill information so that the refill goes to the right pharmacy for the right medication. If you are calling to request a refill of a medication that you or we have discontinued, an in-office or telemedicine visit will be required.

Pediatric Medical Associates requires 48 to 72 hours for one of the doctors or nurse practitioners to fill your prescription requests. We need to review your child’s record and make a medical decision on the status of your request.

Our office wants to give you the most consistent care possible. If your provider has a day off, we hold the request until he or she can review it personally.

We do not accept requests if you have not been seen for over a year, and we do not prescribe antibiotics over the phone without seeing our patients. We now offer video visits, so if you need a medication adjustment or change, we can make an appointment for you even if travel is difficult.
